WORKSHOP ON "RC AIRCRAFT DESIGN, FABRICATION AND OPERATION"
A 7 day long workshop on "Remote Controlled Aircraft Design, Fabrication and Operation" has been successfully conducted by Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Military Institute of Science and Technology from 30 March-5 April, 2015. The workshop was inaugurated by Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari, BBP, ndu,psc, Chief of Air Staff on 24 March. The Commandant of MIST, Major General Md Siddiqur Rahman Sarker, SGP, hdmc, psc and Head of Aeronautical Engineering Department, Md Abdus Salam, psc was also present at the opening ceremony along with representatives from Bangladesh Defense and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB). The main program started from 30th March with 16 theoretical classes along with the practical classes. A total of 175 participants from different national and private universities, representatives from Bangladesh Army, Navy and Air force participated in the workshop. At the end of the course, the participants were divided into groups and designed small micro size remote controlled aircrafts which had test flights as well in the sky of MIST.
